The Power of Foresight
It’s easy to say, “I should have bought Apple stocks in 2009 when they were $13.00.” Because now they are nearly $200. Hindsight doesn’t bring increase, foresight does. I admire the people who partnered with Terry and I back in 1981, they bought in on the ground floor. We had no experience yet people partnered with what we said we were going to do.
Paul told his partners in Philippi, “It’s not that I need your money, because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, but I really want you to partner with me so you will have fruit in every place I go.” (Philippians 4:10-13)
Paul believed that partnership is the key that unlocks the Great Commission. Partnership is an agreement for world harvest and Jesus taught, “If two of you agree concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” “It glorifies my Father’s when you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (Matthew 18:19, John 15:8)
35 years later and we have raised a whole new generation of leaders, having expanded into ten countries. We also need to raise a new generation of partners, people who can believe and invest with us to mentor and mobilize thousands more church planters across Asia.
